MAKHACHKALA, June 17 – RIA "Dagestan". The construction of the innovative IT campus "School 21"—a free educational project by Sberbank designed to train digital technology specialists—is progressing in Dagestan. The status of this large-scale project has been reviewed at a working meeting chaired by Acting Head of the Republic Fyodor Shchukin.
The construction of a contemporary four-story complex is underway in Makhachkala. By now, work on adjusting the monolithic structures of the building is almost fully finished at the construction site. In parallel, the working documentation is being developed and the design for the exterior facade is being completed.
Fyodor Shchukin called the new campus a strategically significant and pioneering initiative for the republic. He pointed out that Dagestan had a critical need for a modern ground to train IT personnel who can successfully develop the digital sector. To prevent any holdups, the governor set the task of preparing a detailed plan with specific timeframes for every stage of the work.
Special attention at the meeting was given to the surrounding area. Fyodor Shchukin imposed a strict ban on any commercial or residential development there, instead instructing that a modern recreational zone for city residents be created around the center.
"Residents find this location very attractive and it should offer both utility and beauty. For this reason, the territory adjacent to the training facility must be kept clear of buildings and developed as a community space. Having weighed all design options, we must now move ahead. There are no barriers to doing so" the top official said.
