MOSCOW, June 17 – RIA "Dagestan". Two-time world champion and European champion Sharabutdin Ataev (9-0, 5 KOs) will fight for the WBA mandatory challenger status in the light heavyweight division. The bout will take place at a professional boxing event on July 11 in Moscow.
Dagestani boxer's opponent will be the experienced Venezuelan José Uzcátegui (34-5, 29 KOs). The fight is scheduled for 12 rounds. Ataev ranks third in the WBA light heavyweight rankings and fourth in the IBF rankings. Uzcátegui holds the 10th position in the WBA rankings.
